On the 19th March, the Robert Burns World Federation held their executive meeting in the parish halls beside the new Robert Burns Birthplace museum in Alloway. A great opportunity for me finally to manage to pop my head round the door ad see what had been achieved. In the evening, David Purdie gave a talk in the Museum on the subject of the recently unearthed MS of the Wounded Hare. My AV skills were required as standard.
Another marvelous Bachelor’s supper followed on the 25th in Tarbolton, where I performed “Libel Summons”. Wonderful to hear so many numbers on a programme and great to see the lads from Fauldhouse, from the Howff and from all airts and pairts.
The following night the Mighty Houghmagandie made a triumphant return to the Hebrides Bar and I was delighted to see my pal, Bill Hill pop in to hear the craic
